Entrance & Scholarship Audition Instructions
All students applying for admission as an undergraduate music major, regardless of whether they want to specialize in performance, composition, music education, music history, etc., are required to perform a vocal or instrumental audition .
FALL APPLICANTS
The Audition Sign-Up or Submission Link Will Be Emailed To You in Late November 2024 (Once The Following Criteria Are Met)

You have applied to CSUF through Cal State Apply

- OR -
You currently attend CSUF, and have contacted the appropriate Prospective Student Advisor below to initiate your application.

Your application has been processed by the School of Music.
• It may take up to two weeks for the School of Music to receive your Cal State Apply application.
• Once processed, you will start receiving emails from the School of Music.

Any prescreening requirements have been met (select areas only).
• Prescreening submission instructions will be emailed to applicants in areas requiring prescreening upon meeting the two criteria above.

Parking and location
When you arrive at the CSUF campus, park in the Nutwood Parking Structure (NPS) (at Nutwood Ave. and State College Blvd.), using either entrance 3 or 4. Parking is free on weekends. Walk toward the elevators and out onto the performing arts walk, and you will see signs directing you to the East Lobby of the Clayes Performing Arts Center (CPAC). CSUF music majors will be awaiting your arrival in the East Lobby outside our Recital Hall, and are there to assist you throughout the day. Please view the CSUF campus map
for clarification, and follow the red line to the East Lobby.
